Stefania Maiorana is a licensed professional counselor. Stefania who sometimes goes by Stephanie has a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. She understands complex family dynamics that can get quite stressful at times. She has years of experience working in a variety of settings such as in home, outpatient, and school settings. She is passionate about the work she does and give each client she works with the time and attention they need to get feeling better as soon as possible! In addition to being fluent in English, she is also fluent in Italian!

Dr. Michael Stokes is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Professional Counseling and Supervision. Dr. Stokes began Stokes Counseling Services in 2011 to help teens, adults, couples and families in the Naugatuck area. His goal is to create a safe space for individuals and families to access mental health services without barriers to treatment. Each therapist brings a unique perspective into the practice, while focusing on patient care so individual and families get the care and outcomes they need!
Dr. Stokes specializes in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and families who are seeking additional support. He has advanced knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues that impact individuals within the community. In addition to his time with clients, he engages in workshops and teaching in the field of psychology and counseling.
Heather Elder is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with several years of clinical experience. Her specialty lies within the vast complexity of human relationships, primarily family and couple systems. She has worked in an outpatient setting, a substance abuse rehabilitation center, and most important, an in-home environment. Heather’s belief is that any area of struggle can best be addressed when she is given the opportunity to enter into clients’ homes, their sanctuaries, to get a firsthand glimpse into their lives. She has helped to guide families and couples through issues that include divorce, abandonment, anxiety, depression, addiction, DCF involvement, school avoidance, teenagers launching into adulthood, and interaction with the law. Heather is passionate about utilizing a systemic, solutions-focused approach in order to support families and couples to find the path that will lead them to peace and balance.

Mandy Hayes is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in the mental health field since 2010. Mandy received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut followed by a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Connecticut State University. Mandy has experience with all ages and populations from her time working in an Outpatient Clinic, substance abuse prevention college counseling programs, residential group homes for adolescents and residential homes for the homeless population. Mandy utilizes a combination of Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy suited to each individuals needs via a strength based approach. Mandy has a strong passion for working with individuals suffering from low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, ADHD and anger management. Mandy enjoys working with individuals to help them attain their goals while learning how to effectively manage any mental health symptoms.
Joseph Dobbins is an Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a wide variety of experiences of working with families and adolescents with and without disabilities and has field experience ranging from a community advocate, advocate for special needs, adjunct professor, to a youth group facilitator who believes in empowering the family and youth to reach their goals. His main focus areas are working with adolescents who need help with behavioral change and those who have autism spectrum disorders.
