What is the FAM Program?
FAM is an in-home family therapy program designed to work with families who are having a difficult time communicating and working together as a family. You will be matched up with a licensed clinician who is highly trained to help your family break unhelpful communication styles and increase your teamwork as a family. All services within the program are delivered in the home, which can enhance family comfort to help reach their maximum potential. Currently, we are accepting referrals from the Waterbury and Naugatuck regions.
Why is Family Therapy Important?
Family therapy is a type of therapy in which the therapist does not focus on one individual client. The therapist focuses on the family as a whole. Each person plays an important role in how the family communicates, interacts, and relates to one another. Focusing on the family, rather than the individual, helps address larger issues such as communication, conflict, and understanding one another.
We can help with the following difficulties:
- Difficulty Communicating
- Parent/Child Relational Problems
- Foster Care
- Blended Families
- Anger Management
- Parenting Issues
- Sibling Conflict
Currently accepting referrals in the Greater Waterbury area, Greater Naugatuck Valley, Greater New Haven area, and Torrington/Winsted areas. Don’t see your location? Give us a call at 203-729-0341!
